Just seven months ago, it was “game over” for Congolese/British Footballer Fabrice Muamba as he collapsed on the pitch during an FA Cup Quarter Final Match between his club Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to doctors who revived him, his heart stopped, therefore he was “technically dead for 78 minutes“.
Just a few days ago on Sunday 21st of October 2012, Fabrice tied the knot with his sweetheart and mother of his son, Shauna Magunda.
The grand wedding which took place at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire featured celebrity footballers including Robin Van Persie with his wife Bouchra and Andy Cole.
The couple’s son Joshua was the page boy while renowned footballer Thierry Henry was reportedly the best man.
According to the UK Telegraph, “Muamba proposed to Shauna on Valentine’s Day, a month before his cardiac arrest at White Hart Lane. Despite his recovery,- he was fitted with a pacemaker – he retired from the game in August.”
Miracles indeed do happen!
