Collapsed building kills three in Abuja

A building this morning collapsed in Dutse Alhaji, a district of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, killing two people instantly.

The National Emergency Management Agency’s Head of Public Relations Unit, Yushau Shuaib, said five injured people have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile,three persons have been confirmed dead as a two storey building under construction collapsed in Abuja earlier today.

A combined set of Civil Defence Corps and NEMA officials are on the scene of the incident.

According to the FCT Assistant Controller of Fire Service, Opetunsi Julius, ten persons have been rescued alive.
He said the rescuers are still at the scene to rescue other trapped victims.
