The Enugu Police Command have begun investigation into the bathing of a young woman with acid in the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO),Ebere Amaraizu stated this on Friday.
The victim was bathed with acid on August 7, and, according to the PPRO, she is recuperating at the Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.
Amaraizu said the victim, who was identified as a commercial sex worker, was reportedly hanging out around Artisan Market, Independence Layout, Enugu.
He said that the incident occurred along Ozubulu Street, Independence Layout, and was carried out by an unidentified man who used to patronise her.
