The death toll from the carnage that took place on Monday at a Deeper Life Church in Okene, Kogi State, has increased.
The military disclosed that four more people have died from injuries they sustained when gunmen attacked the church on Monday evening, bringing the total number of lives lost to twenty.
Ishaya Chonoko, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) central region chief, said several more people were injured than initially estimated, and rescue workers are still at the site.
